Figure skater Tonya Harding pled guilty today on charges of conspiracy to hinder prosecution in the January 6 attack on fellow skater, Nancy Kerrigan. As part of a plea bargain that kept her out of jail, Harding was fined $100,000, agreed to three years' supervised probation and resigned from the U.S. Figure Skating Association. The Intelligencer quoted Deputy District Attorney Norm Frink as stating, "Perhaps the only good thing to come of it is the realization by Tonya Harding that perhaps she has placed too much value on her goals and not enough value on herself as a person."
